Our Mission

The mission of the Suburban Garden Club of Cheshire is to encourage
interest in all phases of gardening, promote better environmental
practices and conservation of natural resources, increase knowledge
in the artistic use of plant material in design and landscaping, and
assist in community beautification and civic involvement through
member participation, contributions and charitable activities.

The Suburban Garden Club of Cheshire was formed in 1957 by a group of energetic, working women who had the desire to belong to a group that shared common gardening interests and could meet in the evening.  Since that first meeting more than 50 years ago, the Suburban Garden Club of Cheshire has been making a positive contribution to our community through numerous civic programs and activities.  Please explore our website and learn more about our club.

The Suburban Garden Club is a very active organization made up of a diverse group of enthusiastic members.  Our members benefit from informative presentations, free advice from experienced gardeners, and the pleasure of spending time with people who share a passion for gardening, floral design and community involvement. Because many of our members work, meetings are held in the evening.  New members--both male and female--are always welcome; if you are interested in joining please click here for more information.
